Mindfulness is not a single technique but a practice. In our struggle to maintain daily practice, we may feel frustrated and often give up before we can start experiencing changes in our lives. Just like habit formation, we experience mindful moments the more we practice them.
To assist you in building this practice, we are introducing this short 2-week course in collaboration with Preeti Balan, a psychologist and certified mindfulness teacher. Even if you have only 2-5 minutes to spare in the day, this course can provide you with simple practices to remain grounded, even in the face of stress.
– Quick reset on busy days
– Improve focus
– Evidenced-based ways to relax
The program will be beneficial for any individual of 18+ years, new to mindfulness and navigating a busy stressful life.
No prior experience of mindfulness practice is needed to join.
The course will be conducted Online.
A meeting link will be shared upon registration.
Each group will consist of a maximum of 20 participants.
The course will be made available by Mann Talks, at a subsidised fee of INR 1,200 per participant.
The course is divided into two weeks: 2 live classes over 2 weekends, plus additional resources you can use on your own!
Learning to Be Present
In this session, we will learn short (3-5minutes) yet powerful practices to get our mind’s feet back to the present moment.
Understanding Your Body & Stress
This session will explore ways in which we can use our breath and body to feel calm and relaxed (relaxation does not always have to mean a beach vacation!).
During the duration of the course, the participants are free to join Preeti’s guided mindfulness sessions (15 mins) conducted over Zoom each day.
Each participant will also have audio recordings of guided mindfulness sessions (around 3-15 mins each) to take away from the course, free of any additional cost.
There will also be session notes shared by Preethi.
