Overview

Mindfulness might be a buzzword today, but what does it really look like in everyday life? How do we practice it while juggling work, screens, and responsibilities?

This practical 4-week course, designed by certified mindfulness teacher Preethi Balan, breaks down the mystery behind mindfulness and shows you how to make it part of your daily rhythm. Each week, you’ll learn a new, easy-to-use skill that helps you bring mindfulness into what you’re already doing, whether it’s making coffee, working, or handling stress. We’ll focus on the ‘doing’ so you can move toward truly experiencing it.

Who is it for?

The program will be beneficial for anyone above 18+ years who is seeking a practical, everyday guide to mindfulness.

No prior experience of mindfulness practice is needed to join.

The course will be conducted Online.

Group Size

Each group will consist of a maximum of 20 participants.

Course Fee

The course will be made available by Mann Talks, at a subsidized fee of INR 2,400 per participant.

Structure of the Course

This program will consist of 4 live classes over 4 weekends! Here’s what you will learn in every class:

Week 1

Understanding yourself better

We will focus on building a bridge between our body and inner world by gently bringing into awareness the things we see, hear, and feel.

Week 2

Quick Reset During Busy Days

There’s more to rest than just sleep. In this session, we’ll explore simple, practical ways to recharge even during a hectic day.

Week 3

Using Mindfulness Every Day

In this session, we will learn how to bring mindfulness into daily activities like walking, eating, and working, making the ordinary moments more grounded and intentional.

Week 4

Managing Your Reactions

In our final session, we’ll learn how to stay anchored during spiralling thoughts or emotional overwhelm, and respond from a more grounded, mindful space.

Resources outside sessions

During the duration of the course, the participants are free to join Preeti’s guided mindfulness sessions (15 mins) conducted over Zoom each day.

Each participant will also have audio recordings of guided mindfulness sessions (around 3-15 mins each) to take away from the course, free of any additional cost.

There will also be session notes shared by Preethi.

Towards the end of the 4-week course, a free Q & A session will be conducted where the participants will have a chance to share their practice experience and stay connected with the group.

About the Facilitator

Preethi Balan is a psychologist, mindfulness coach, and a certified Unified Mindfulness teacher with 12+ years of experience teaching mindfulness in corporate, schools, and clinical settings. She is also the Founder of Here & Now. With a background in engineering, HR, and mental health, she brings an interdisciplinary lens to emotional well-being.

A former engineer and HR professional with 14 years of corporate experience in Indian and multinational organizations, Preethi pivoted into mental health with a Master’s in Psychology. Her discovery of the Unified Mindfulness system helped her establish a consistent personal practice and shaped her approach to teaching mindfulness as a life skill and not just a technique.

Preethi designs practical, personalised programs for adults and adolescents, aiming to make mindfulness accessible, sustainable, and relevant to daily life.

She also serves as a teaching assistant for Unified Mindfulness (Compass 2), partners with Har Mandir School in Coorg on teacher training, and facilitates sessions for parents of children with special needs.
