In this program, you’ll explore the mind-body connection, learn to engage your attention, and regulate your emotions, all to help you anchor yourself in the present and live a more intentional life.

The course is divided into two weeks.
Understanding Mindfulness – Attention & Awareness
This week will focus on learning and practising the core mindfulness skills.
Breath, Body, and Emotion Regulation – Mindful Living
In the second week, the group will be introduced to brief yet impactful body-based practices to
regulate their emotions and apply mindfulness to their everyday life.
During the sessions, reflective prompts will be shared to deepen personal discovery, and exercises
will be led by Dr. Shambhavi.
Participants will be given practice assignments to apply their learnings outside the session.
Additional resources will be shared post-session.
Dr. Shambhavi Alve is a trauma-informed, queer-affirmative psychologist and Certified Mindfulness Teacher – Professional (CMT-P), with 13+ years of experience across corporates, schools, and Indian military bases. She is the Country Director (India) for the Centre for Mindfulness, Singapore, and Co-Founder of EmptyMyndscape LLP.
Her facilitation blends science, compassion, and lived insight—drawing from diverse therapeutic modalities including Arts-Based Therapy, Hypnotherapy, EFT, CBT, REBT, Narrative Therapy, and Animal-Assisted Therapy. Backed by a Ph.D. in Psychology and an MBA in HR, she designsqspaces that foster emotional awareness, resilience, and growth.
She is deeply committed to making mindfulness inclusive, accessible, and culturally attuned for all age groups, genders, and identities.
She has led national mental health initiatives like the COVID Mental Health Awareness Campaign (NNDCIF) and currently serves as Vice-President of the National Mental Health Council, WICCI.
